Pharmacology is a multidisciplinary field that demands expert understanding of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathophysiology, and clinical sciences. Pharmacology serves as a foundation for determining the therapeutic potential of novel drugs and formulations. For student projects, the department collaborates with council of scientific and industrial research (CSIR) and industry. The department offers clinical testing of various body fluids as well as histopathological examinations. The toxicity studies on animals and pharmacological screening of various drugs can be performed by conducting experiments on animals and bioassays on isolated tissues. Undergraduate students will get instruction in pharmacology and toxicology, with the possibility of pursuing fascinating research, regulatory, and administrative jobs in academic, industrial, and healthcare contexts.
